Can some one tell or draw me a F# barre chord. Can it only be played in the first and ninth fret position. I am working on the chord version of Hoterl California. In ther opening it goes from a B minor to a F#. Thanks Russ

A song is usually written or played in a particular 'key' to accomodate the vocalist. So don't ever be afraid to change the key so as to avoid 'tricky' chords. Try Hotel Calafornia in a tone Lower which makes the chords;- Am E G D F C Dm E for the verse and F C E Am F C Dm E for the chorus. All those chords are fairly easy and can all be played without using the barre method. OR put a capo on fret 2 and play the chords I have shown which will put you in the original key. www.evansongs.co.uk
