It's:

2,2,1,2,2,2,1

Basically, take the first note of the scale you want, let's go with Bb

Move 2 frets, you get C
2 more frets, D
1 more fret , Eb
2 more frets, F
2 more frets, G
2 more frets A
1 more fret Bb

If you use the major scale in any key and maintain the same form of the scale and play on the same fret area you get all 7 scales. ex: CDEFGABC MAJOR DEFGABCD DORIAN EFGABCDE PHRYGIAN.All you need to do is make a form yourself or from online there could be different FORMS for the same scale because a lot of the notes repeat on the guitar. For example the low E string played while holding the fifth fret down is the same note as the open A string.

Well you got your C Major scale right there. The C Major scale has no sharps or flats so C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C is the scale. First you find your tonic/root or key signature. Which would be "C" then we take the major scale formula which Anonymous mentioned earlier. The major scale formula is T-2,2,1,2,2,2,1-T (The T's are your tonic at the beginning and end of the scale, so you take your Tonic, The C, and go up 2 whole steps and so forth...

Think of the below little diagram as your guitar, the line on the bottom is your lowest string (the thickest one on your guitar). And your Root note, in this case, is C which starts on the 8th fret. A whole step from the 8th fret is the 10th fret, which is D. A whole step from D is E (which would be the 12th fret but since we want to scale it down we go to the 7th fret of your fifth string, this note is also E. Then we take our half step to F. And so on and so forth. Once you get to the 10th fret on the 4th string you've reached your tonic again and then you just repeat.

|-7-|-8-|---|10-|
|---|-8-|---|10-|
|-7-|---|-9-|10-|
|-7-|---|-9-|10-|
|-7-|-8-|---|10-|
|---|-8-|---|10-|

If this is confusing you at all, feel free to send me a PM and i'll try and explain it better.

Hi Fernando. You say you know how to construct scales so I expect it is knowledge of the guitar fretboard that you are after. Imagine a piano and the keys going black white black white etc. Well lets take a guitar string 'E' for example, (the thickest string). As you put your finger on each fret you are doing the same as going up the notes on the piano i.e. E string fret 1 = F fret 2 = F# fret 3 = G in other words each fret is a semi tone. So once you get familiar where all the notes are you can then find your scales quite easily. $teve Zodiac www.evansongs.co.uk
