Love the sound of Am, but lately, a little too much. I write my own stuff. I usually hum it out, scribble down some lyrics then get the music together.

I love the sound of the song I'm working on now, but need help getting a diff chord combo? (Currently using Am F G C .. Em Am)

I'm open to adjusting some stuff with the melody and whatnot on my part. Just want something cool and different! Thanks for your help!! :)

Try using the harmonizer feature on JGuitar. If you add the chords you mentioned to the chord symbols box and click go, it will give you a list of compatible scales:

http://jguitar.com/harmonizer/chord2scale?chordRoot=E&chordlist=Am&chordlist=F&chordlist=G&chordlist=C&chordlist=Em&chord=m

Find a scale that is compatible with your melody and then click on the link to see other chords that are compatible with that scale.
