After several years of playing guitar I started to learn to play piano. I found it to be a refreshing change. Piano has given me a different perspective on music. Many guitarists will spend their entire lives on the guitar and may be missing out. Is it important for guitarists to expand their horizons to the world of other instruments?

I find that tinkering around on a piano or keyboard is a good companion for the guitar. Give it a shot because personally I find that playing one helps me improve on the other.

i would try it! I play guitar and piano...there are alot of similarities between the two. playing the piano helped me play the guitar alottt!

I think piano makes music theory more clear for guitarists who think in frets and not in music notes
