My sunburst Fender Stratocaster sustained some minor damage several years ago. A chunk of the finish was taken out near the outer black border. It's purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the instrument's feel or sound so I've just lived with it for several years. Lately, I've been thinking about repairing the damage. Is there a good way to repair damage on a sunburst finish without refinishing the whole body?

I'd get some of this: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies/Colors,_tints,_and_stains/ColorTone_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquers/ColorTone_Tinted_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquer.html Then wet sand and polish if you want a super high shine, but not necessary. Just wet sand.
